At Burst Creatives, we’re all about helping businesses grow, but this year, I’m taking on a different kind of challenge—one that’s incredibly close to my heart.

On April 27th, 2025, I’ll be running the London Marathon alongside my good friend Laura Hand to raise money for Bliss, a charity that supports families of premature and sick babies. This cause is deeply personal for me because I’ve experienced firsthand the challenges that come with having a premature baby.

Why Bliss Means So Much to Me

In 2017, my son Zach was born at just 32 weeks, weighing a tiny 2lbs. While Zach fought to grow stronger in neonatal care for six weeks, I was recovering from preeclampsia and HELLP syndrome in intensive care. I didn’t get to meet him until 36 hours after he was born, and when I finally did, I was overwhelmed with emotion—he was so small but full of fight.

During that time, Bliss was an incredible source of support. They provided me with essential information, connected me to support groups, and even guided me through navigating early maternity leave while managing my business. Their help was invaluable, and it’s one of the reasons I’m so passionate about giving back now that Zach is a healthy and energetic seven-year-old.

Training Together for a Great Cause

Laura and I have been running together since early 2024, and we’ve already tackled some tough races as a team. We completed the Humber Bridge Half Marathon in September 2024 and recently took on the challenge again on March 23rd, 2025. But now, we’re gearing up for the biggest challenge yet—the iconic London Marathon 2025.

Running alongside Laura has been an amazing experience. We push and motivate each other every step of the way, and we’re determined to do the same on race day to raise vital funds for Bliss.

A Family Tradition of Giving Back

Giving back has always been a part of our family’s story. Back in 2018, my husband Will and my brother-in-law took on Ironman 70.3 to raise money for the HULL NICU Children’s Ward, raising an impressive £6,869. Now, it’s my turn to take on a challenge and give something back to a charity that made such a difference in my life.

Our Goal: £5,000 for Bliss

Laura and I have set an ambitious target to raise £5,000 for Bliss, and we’re so grateful for the support we’ve already received from our corporate sponsorsLatus Group, Burst Creatives, and TC60 Gym, where Laura and I first met.

The funds we raise will go toward providing emotional support groups, financial assistance, and vital guidance to families navigating the challenges of neonatal care.
